Fiddle Care is a teacher-owned, teacher-led small business partnering with string educators to provide the knowledge and skills needed to tackle basic maintenance and repair before engaging a local luthier. We are dedicated to helping educators protect their fleet and their peace of mind.
Sarah Harris has been an active orchestra director in the DFW area for 28 years. Driven by a lifelong passion for instrument repair, she began learning the craft under the guidance of master luthiers to better serve her own students. She now delights in sharing these professional techniques with fellow directors, empowering them to keep instruments out of the shop as long as possible.
Tim Harris is a seasoned technology veteran with over twenty years of experience. With a background as an art director emphasizing illustration for Fortune 50 clients, Tim brings a high level of expertise in front-end development, UX design, and photography. He ensures that Fiddle Care’s digital presence and resources are as professional and accessible as the workshops themselves.
Based in North Texas and serving the DFW Metroplex—including Fort Worth, Denton, Keller, Southlake, and Dallas—Fiddle Care was founded in 2024 to bridge the gap between music education and instrument maintenance.
We understand that in an era of shifting budgets and rising costs, keeping instruments in students' hands is more critical than ever. Our goal is to ensure that your program's "heavy assets" and beginner fleets remain in peak playing condition through proactive, educator-driven care.
As an active educator, Sarah's workshop availability is scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis around the academic calendar. To stay informed about upcoming workshop openings, new YouTube tutorials, and seasonal maintenance tips, please join our newsletter.
