About our Workshop

Fiddle Care personalizes your workshop on your unique needs. Maitenance and repair topics for instruments and bows include:

Foundation

Master proper storage, environmental protection, and safe cleaning protocols to prevent damage before it starts.

Structural Triage

Learn to identify and address open seams, minor cracks, and warping.

The Bass Specialist

Stress-free techniques for replacing strings and maintaining the "heavy assets" of your orchestra.

Expert Judgment

Develop the diagnostic eye to know exactly when an instrument needs a master luthier—and when you can fix it in-house.

About the founder

Sarah Harris has been an active orchestra director in the DFW area for 28 years. Always having a passion for instrument repair, she began learning the craft under the guidance of master luthiers. She now delights in sharing the techniques she's learned with fellow directors in an effort to keep instruments out of the shop as long as possible.
